The Russian River Fungi Fest is an event designed to engage more people in the incredible, delectable and unique ecology of West Sonoma County, an hopes that residents and visitors will continue to cherish, support and protect it’s communities and ecosystems.

Some helpful FAQs

Do I need to register or buy tickets?

Fungi Fest tickets are a suggested donation of $15 that can be purchased here. However, no one will be turned away for lack of funds if you arrive at the festival without having purchased a tickets


Where is the festival exactly?

The festival is centered in downtown Guerneville, CA. That’s where the marketplace and stages will be. But there are pop-up events throughout West County.


Can I bring mushrooms I find myself?

 Yes, there will be a mushroom ID table staffed by mushroom experts to help you identify mushrooms you’ve found.

Please note: Safety is critical when foraging in Sonoma, and you should never consume any foraged mushrooms that you aren’t familiar with, or that has not been identified by an expert.


Is there limited capacity for Fungi Forum talks and workshops?

Yes, talks and workshops will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and some of the venues have a limited capacity. Arrive early to get a spot at sessions you want to attend!


Are there options for kids or families?

Yes! The festival welcomes all ages, with activities that appeal to families and curious learners.


Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed in the Mushroom Marketplace but are not allowed in the venues hosting Fungi Forum sessions or in the Yeast Village. 


Will there be food and drink available?

Yes! Expect creative mushroom-themed food and drink from local restaurants, wineries, and breweries, as well as some from food vendors in the Mushroom Marketplace. The Yeast Village will also feature wineries and mushroom cocktails.


Is parking available?

Yes, but there is very limited parking. Some parking will be available around downtown Guerneville and Armstrong Woods Road. You can also park in the Park and Ride


Are restrooms available on site?

Yes, restrooms are available near the Mushroom Marketplace, at Fungi Forum venues, and at guided walk staging points.
